True Potential is in the running for the Technology Innovation of the Year Category of the Private Business Awards

Newcastle-based financial services group, True Potential, has made the national shortlist for this year’s Private Business Awards, which recognise the most successful companies and individuals in the private sector.

The firm, which works with over 22% of the IFA market delivering wealth management advice, has been shortlisted in the Technology Innovation of the Year category.

In particular, it was recognised for demonstrating an innovative use of technology and adopting a business strategy for a digital age.

The Private Business Awards are in now their fourth year and are sponsored by PwC, in association with HSBC Private Bank and Ford Sinclair.

The shortlisted finalists were drawn from over 1000 entries from private businesses across the length and breadth of the UK, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony in September.

PwC’s private business leader for the North East, Lee Stamp, said: “The North East boasts some of the UK’s best known private businesses, with a heritage dating back hundreds of years in some cases.

“They are the foundation of the British economy and are viewed by the Government as a key part of our economic lifeblood.

“It is only right that we recognise and celebrate those companies who have been leading the way in helping to rebuild our region’s economic health.”

Charlie Hoffman, managing director at HSBC Private Bank (UK) Ltd said: “We are delighted with the calibre of participants in this year’s Private Business Awards.

“Once again, there is strong competition across all categories, and the candidates demonstrate immense talent and contribution to the private business sector in the UK.”
