We’re pleased to announce that Managing My Money, the first in a series of free personal financial courses available from the True Potential Centre for the Public Understanding of Finance and the Open University, will be broadcast live on Share Radio, starting from 7th September at 9pm.
The online version of the course has attracted around 50,000 participants and has been one of the most popular courses on FutureLearn MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and OpenLearn.
What Does the Course Cover?
Over eight weeks, Managing My Money aims to provide the skills to manage expenditures, budgeting and plans for retirement.
It focuses on seven core subjects:
- Pensions
- Financial Planning and the Life Journey
- Income
- Taxation and Benefits
- Debt and Borrowing
- Savings and Investment
- Housing and the Household Balance Sheet
The course is also up-to-date with the latest changes to pension rules, which came into force on 6th April this year, and has been transformed into an entertaining broadcast production by the Share Radio team.
A Statement of Participation certificate from the Open University will also be provided upon completion of the course.
Tune in to the Course
You can tune in to Managing My Money twice a week for eight weeks via the DAB station. A podcast will also be available to download via www.shareradio.co.uk or the Share Radio App.
