We’re pleased to announce that Managing My Investments, the second in a series of free personal finance courses available from the True Potential Centre for the Public Understanding of Finance and the Open University, is launching 11th May and registration is now open.
According to our latest Tackling the Savings Gap White Paper, financial education is a key concern for many Britons. From an independent survey of over 2,000 members of the public, we found that:
- 76% rate their understanding of personal finance as ‘Satisfactory’ or worse
- 81% think more financial education is needed

What does the course cover?
Over six weeks, Managing My Investments aims to give you the skills to manage your investments, analyse your strategy and plan for retirement.
The course covers:
- Why and how to invest for your future
- The range of investment options
- Investment strategies
- Investment in practice
- Investing for retirement
- Investing and human behaviour
The course is also up-to-date with the latest changes to the pension rules, which came into force on 6th April this year, and includes topical case studies to put your learning into context.

The first course in the series, Managing My Money, has seen over 37,000 registered learners since it launched. It has twice been presented on the FutureLearn MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) and has been one of their most popular courses.
